As first cut, quick look at the salaries of people working on US mines in 2010. These data are from the most recent CostMine document 2010 Survey Results U.S. Metal and Industrial Mineral Mine Salaries, Wages and Benefits.
The following are some average annual salaries in thousands of dollars:
- General Manager = 131
- Mine Manager = 107
- Mill Superintendent = 103
- Chief Engineer = 100
- Metallurgist = 84
- Environmental Coordinator = 87
- Personnel Manager = 98
- Administrative Assistant = 41
- Secretary = 38
Salaries vary from underground mine to surface mine. Here are a few comparisons. The first number is annual salary for an underground mine; the second is for a surface mine:
- Mine Manager = 110/106
- Mine Foreman = 78/77
- Mine Geologist = 67/65
- Warehouse Clerk = 34/43

No quarrel with the numbers Jack. Some twenty years ago I was working for a Saskatchewan company evaluating mines in the US particularly Nevada for potential investment/purchase purposes. I was downright astonished how badly people in Nevada were being paid compared to Saskatchewan and their benefits were almost non-existent. Perhaps things have changed.
IS THERE A CHANCE TO DO A JOB IN OTHER COUNTRYS AS MINING ENGINEER .TO A PERSON FROM INDIA .IS THE CERTIFICATE IS VALIED IN OTHER COUNTRYS.
