The newly revised 2012 version of the EduMine course, An Introduction to Mining Investment – Understanding the Risks , is now up and available. The first version was posted in 2009. Now some three years later, we have updated the course and added a great deal of new material.
Much of the update material came from preparation for and presentation of an EduMine webcast of the course. Plus a distillation of the many postings on this blog in the intervening years on the topic of investing in mining while taking into account the risks of mining and such investing.
We are presenting another EduMine webcast of this course in September. This time I will be joined by and very much share the presentation with Mike Collins. He is younger, better-looking, and greatly more informed about mining finance and management than I am. All are significant, particularly his looks, for who wants to stare at me for three mornings in a row?
Mike has run his own junior mining company for many years, weathered the storms, and is now about to take on a senior management role running the North American operations of an Australian consulting company that has recently set up office in Vancouver.
Thus we invite you to take a look at the updated course, come join us at the webcast, or simply go back through this blog to get the first-cut at the ideas and rules.
And good investing in mining now and in the future.
