Here are a few photos taken on today’s bike ride. Some are art, some graffiti. I prefer the graffiti.
First pure graffiti on a wall along the bike path—and in a place where the Vancouver graffiti police cannot see it and blot it out.
I suppose this is art, for it is in a public place atop a tall pole.
And so back to pure artistic graffiti.
I am not sure if the next picture is of art, or is just an abandoned object left behind for visual interest.
Then to totem-pole-like “art.” It gets a bit repetitive and formulaic for my taste.
And this from Santiago–where graffiti has become the basis of art imitating life.
Finally from Granville Island, ugly stuff by somebody who is obsessed and has no training in communication, net alone graffiti.
For more graffiti and art see this link which displays photos taken a week after this posting. Enjoy.
