I have just added a new (to me at least) blog to my blogroll just to the right here. The blog is the Mineral Law Blog. The writers are members of the law firm Stoel Rivers LLP, Attorneys at Law. Here is how they introduce their blog:
Mineral Law Blog shares our knowledge, passion, observations and insights regarding minerals and mineral law. Drawing on our very active natural resources practice, we are excited to keep readers informed about legal issues that impact exploration and development of all things mineral. Ranging across a broad spectrum of federal, state, and local laws, our blog authors deliver the information you need in a professional but readable style. We keep you current on the latest legal, business and regulatory developments affecting:
- oil and gas exploration and development
- hydraulic fracturing or “fracking”
- geologic carbon dioxide sequestration
- metal (lode and placer) mining
- aggregate mining
- natural gas storage
- pipelines
- and much more!
I spent more time than I should browsing the many well-written postings. And I probably will return often to spend more time than I should keeping abreast of what they post, for it is interesting and informative. Go take a look yourself if mining and mining law interest or impact you.
PS. Note the first comment on this posting that brought the site Mining Securities Law to my attention. I have added it to the blog roll.

Here’s another one of potential interest, from FMC Law:
