Today I was in one of those meetings that remind you of Napoleon’s management dictum.
He said people are either of low or high intelligence, and they are either of low or high energy.
He said: “Those with high intelligence and high energy, you put in charge. Those of high intelligence, but low energy you put into logistics or intelligence. Those of low intelligence and low energy, send them to the front. And those of high energy and low intelligence, you shoot. They only make trouble.”
I was not chairing the meeting, but I did shoot one high energy, low intelligence participant. Only with words. The chairman smiled and later said: “Every meeting needs a bulldog.”
Personally I think I should avoid meetings and stick to blogging.
